Request a solar EPC proposal in Chile
For corporate, industrial, agro-industrial and mining sites in Chilean territory, and for PMGD generation projects of up to 9 MW. Reference investment runs from CLP $15,000,000 for 20 kWp to CLP $195,000,000 for 300 kWp, net. Expatriate residents sizing a home will find residential tiers further down.
Start with the sizing tool
The calculator below produces a reference figure in a few steps: draw the available roof or ground area, or enter your monthly bill, and it returns an indicative capacity and investment. It is a starting point, not the proposal — a real project is sized on the measured load curve.
Note: the calculator interface is in Spanish, and all amounts are Chilean pesos (CLP), not US dollars. If you would rather skip it, the contact details are at the foot of this page.
What we need from you
A commercial or industrial proposal is engineering work, so it starts from data rather than from a wish. Send whatever you have of the five items below and we will tell you what is missing; a technical evaluation of the site carries no cost.
Twelve months of electricity bills
Not one month. Seasonality is what separates a plant that pays back from one that is oversized. We read consumption in kWh and, on tariffs with a capacity charge, the demand in kW as well.
Your tariff and distribution utility
BT1, BT2, BT3, BT4.1 to BT4.3, or AT4.1 to AT4.3 in high voltage, and whether you are with Enel, CGE, Chilquinta, Saesa or Frontel. The tariff decides whether storage belongs in the design at all.
Site location and available area
Address or coordinates, plus usable roof or ground area. Yield in Chile varies by more than 50% between the north and the south, so the site changes the financial model more than the equipment does.
Operating pattern
One shift, two shifts or continuous operation. A daytime plant self-consumes almost everything it generates; a three-shift plant carries a night base load that panels alone will not cover.
Connection point and single-line diagram
Where the electrical room is, the capacity of the incoming connection and the existing single-line diagram if you have one. For a PMGD we also need the feeder your site would inject into.
The sequence from first study to energised plant is set out step by step, in Spanish, on our solar installation process page.
What the proposal contains
Six things, all of them in writing. We do not issue a headline price without the engineering behind it.
- Sizing in kWp, panel count and inverter configuration, derived from the measured load curve rather than a rule of thumb
- Estimated annual production in kWh, using yield by zone rather than a single national factor
- CAPEX in Chilean pesos, all-in: engineering, equipment, mounting, construction and SEC filing
- The regulatory route: Net Billing self-consumption under 300 kW, or PMGD above it, with the filings each one requires
- Tax treatment of the investment: for companies under the Pro Pyme regime (Article 14 D No. 3 of the Income Tax Law), instant depreciation, to be confirmed with your accountant
- Scope and cadence of operation and maintenance, including Performance Ratio reporting
The equipment we specify and the warranty attached to it are published in Spanish on the SEC-certified Tier 1 panels and inverters page and on the warranty terms: 3 years on the installation, plus the panel and inverter warranties. If you are still choosing a supplier, the comparison between SolarPro and Copec Flux sets out how the two offers differ.
Reference pricing before you write to us
So you can decide whether this is worth a conversation. All figures are in Chilean pesos, valid to 31 December 2026, and include engineering, equipment, mounting, construction and SEC filing. Commercial and industrial figures are net prices.
Commercial and industrial
| Capacity | Investment (net) | CLP per Wp |
|---|---|---|
| 20 kWp | CLP $15,000,000 | $750 |
| 30 kWp | CLP $21,600,000 | $720 |
| 50 kWp | CLP $36,000,000 | $720 |
| 100 kWp | CLP $69,000,000 | $690 |
| 300 kWp | CLP $195,000,000 | $650 |
| 500 kWp | CLP $325,000,000 | $650 |
Residential, for expatriate residents
| Capacity | Panels | Investment | Payback |
|---|---|---|---|
| 3 kW | 5 | CLP $3,870,000 | 5-6 years |
| 4 kW | 7 | CLP $5,160,000 | 5-6 years |
| 5 kW | 8 | CLP $5,750,000 | ~5 years |
| 6 kW | 10 | CLP $6,175,000 | 4-5 years |
| 8 kW | 13 | CLP $7,600,000 | ~4 years |
| 10 kW | 16 | CLP $8,900,000 | 3,7 years |
Each tier has a maximum price: at the upper limit of a tier the next tier's rate already applies, so a larger plant never costs less than a smaller one, and CLP per Wp is the effective rate (price ÷ Wp). A quick pre-feasibility rule: about 1 kWp for every CLP $20,000 of monthly electricity bill. Final cost depends on roof type, distance to the electrical room and the connection point.
Which regulatory route are you asking about?
Tell us in your message, because it changes the whole proposal. Under Net Billing — Law 20,571 as amended by Law 21,118 — you self-consume and credit surpluses against your own bills, with a cap of 300 kW per connection point, a TE4 declaration to the SEC and the SEC connection filing with the distribution utility. Above that threshold the route is a PMGD under Article 149 of the General Electricity Services Law and Supreme Decree 88 of 2019: up to 9 MW injected into the distribution network, with a feeder capacity study, coordination with the Coordinador Electrico Nacional and a choice between spot price and the stabilised price set every six months by the CNE.
The distinction is simple in practice: Net Billing reduces a cost, a PMGD produces a revenue. Both are documented at length in Spanish on the industrial EPC and PMGD page and on the PMGD distributed generation project page.
If the site has no grid at all — a remote mining camp, an exploration front, an irrigation pump — the question becomes on-grid versus off-grid instead, covered in our guide to on-grid and off-grid systems in Chile. Two further pieces worth reading before you commit are the guides to monocrystalline versus polycrystalline panels and to solar panel maintenance in practice, which is what determines whether the yield in the proposal survives year five.

SolarPro, Chilean tax ID 76.729.529-4, 15+ years of experience (rooted in Ecoenergías, 2011; SolarPro since 2017). Installations declared to the Superintendencia de Electricidad y Combustibles (form TE4). 6 offices in Chile, and projects handled case by case in Argentina, Uruguay and Brazil. Smaller institutional work follows the same process — see, for example, the engineering analysis and proposal for Escuela Fatima in Pucon (May 2026).
